A ward winning biggest zip fly of the world. Circa 1950. 600 cm x 14 cm. This trousers zip fly was originally made by a french zipper company in the 50’s in order to gain some publicity.

Stigmatized by Johnson as « a low cant word. » Older sense is preserved in phrase to make fun of (1737) and funny money « counterfeit bills » (1938, though this may be more for the sake of the rhyme).
